Gender Differences and Android Apps

Media research firm Nielsen has published the results of a new study that finds gender differences in the kinds of apps that Android smartphone owners use most. Overall, Facebook, Google Maps and Gmail were the top-ranking Android apps, but while women used Facebook most often, more men used Google Maps.

The study also found that 18 percent of those in the study accessed the Amazon Appstore during the month of the project.
