A new survey by cloud computing phone service provider RingCentral confirms that belief that smartphones are coming to dominate business professionals’ live. More people said they would rather give up their morning cup of coffee than said they would give up their smartphone, and smartphones tied for first place with “intimate relationships” in the list of things users can’t go without.
Other key findings include:
- 79 percent of respondents said their smartphone is their primary business phone.
- 34 percent of respondents use their smartphone more than their computer for business.
- 48 percent said that two-thirds of their communications take place on their smartphone.
- 7 percent said that they don’t take a laptop when they travel if they have their smartphone.
