Fallout: London mod awaiting GOG approval

London Fallout

The Fallout: London team is nearing the release of their highly anticipated “game-sized” mod for Fallout 4. The project, which transports players to a post-apocalyptic version of the English capital, has faced delays due to the recent Fallout 4 next-gen update. The update broke several mods, including systems based on the F4 SE framework that powers many of Fallout: London’s dialogue systems.

Despite these setbacks, the team has made significant progress and is awaiting final approval from GOG, the digital storefront hosting the mod. In a recent tweet, Team FOLON addressed speculation about the upcoming release. “The bottom line is that we’ve sent several builds over to GOG for QA testing, and we are waiting for the final green light,” they stated.

“Once they’ve completed double-checking that Fallout: London and its installer work on all supported machines, we should be good to go.”

The team also confirmed that they have developed their own installer and downgrader to ensure a smooth experience for players. They emphasized the importance of the final QA process and expressed gratitude for GOG’s assistance in bringing the project to fruition.

While the development process may appear quiet, Team FOLON assured supporters that they have worked diligently behind the scenes to perfect the release build. The mod’s massive install size of 30-40GB makes it too large for traditional mod distribution sites like NexusMods, necessitating the partnership with GOG. Fallout: London promises to be a substantial addition to the Fallout 4 experience, allowing players to explore a new setting within the beloved post-apocalyptic universe.
