Data Files, using features such as Open/Write/Read, are unchanged sinceVB4. Microsoft is not really concentrating on those features since theyrun out of steam very quickly.
Visual Basic does come with the Data Access Objects version 3.5 library,which is designed to work with Access 97. These objects are faster andmore feature-rich than previous versions. The DAO layer has been improvedwith new functions to do things like creating tables on the fly and isgenerally easier to understand.
