Is it possible to have more than one font type in a text area? I have tried, but I can only change the whole text area component.

It is not possible to use more than one font type in a java.awt.TextArea component. To achievethis functionality without writing your own special component, you should consider using theSwing package. The Swing JEditorPane supportsthe use of multiple fonts.
