Setup for e-mail in SQL Server 7.0

Currently, I use SQL Mail in SQL Server 7.0 with Outlook and Exchange Server. I am sure there were no errors during set up, but when I went to the Enterprise manager, under management |operator, created an operator and tried to test the email function I got an error message stating,

“Error 22022: SQL ServerAgent Error: The SQL ServerAgent mail session is not running; check the mail profile and/or the SQL ServerAgent service startup in the SQL Server Agent properties dialog.”

Answer:
Check the Control Panel under Services then, SQL ServerAgent to be sure the service starts when the computer does. Also check that the services are logging on with the same account name and as members of administrators.
