Report: 89% of Business Users Report Poor Enterprise Application Performance

Riverbed Technology has released a new survey of 900 business executives which found that 89 percent have experienced poor application performance that has hampered their work. And 58 percent said bad application performance affects their work at least once a week. In addition, 71 percent of all executives and more than three-quarters of those in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa say they often don’t know why applications are running slowly.

The report noted that it is particularly difficult for enterprises to deliver good application performance in hybrid cloud computing environments. “The results of the survey reflect what we’re hearing every day from IT leaders who are looking to deliver superior application performance in the midst of rapidly evolving, highly complex and hybrid IT environments,” Jerry Kennelly, Riverbed chairman and CEO, said. “With apps, data and end users everywhere today, companies need end-to-end application visibility, optimization, and control everywhere as well to close the performance gap.”
