Salesforce Launches a Mayday Button for Enterprise Apps

Service SOS will allow mobile app users to connect to support instantly.

Application Security Testing: An Integral Part of DevOps

One of the features that sets Amazon's Kindle Fire tablets apart from the competition is the MayDay button, a tool which instantly connects users to helpdesk support. Now Salesforce has launched a new cloud computing service which allows enterprise mobile development teams to add a similar feature to any mobile app. It's called Salesforce 1 Service SOS, and it connects app users with live agent video or audio support.

"It's really the Mayday experience brought to market for any company," explained Salesforce's Larry Robinson. "Most apps don't have customer service integration. We want any company to play like Amazon does."

The service won't be publicly available for some time, but Salesforce plans to launch a limited beta trial in June.
