This morning, tickets for Google’s annual I/O developer conference went on sale, and as in year’s past, the tickets sold out in less than an hour. In previous years, Google has handed out free smartphones and tablets at the event, and many attendees may be hoping for more freebies this year. It’s possible that Google could use the event to announce new Motorola devices.
I/O will also likely cover new Android features, and it may offer more information about Google Glass.
The event is scheduled to take place May 15-17. Tickets cost $900 for regular attendees or $300 for students and academic faculty; Google planned to offer 5,500 tickets.
