Multithreading

Question:
Is there a way for delphi 1.0 to have some kind of multithreading (enabling the user to do something else while waiting for a report beinggenerated or printed)?

Answer:
No there isn’t but you can _simulate_ it in a loop with a call toApplication.ProcessMessages like so:

while Condition do begin  Application.ProcessMessages;  …do some stuffend;
This is really what’s called a “yield” where the loop yields momentarily toallow the window to accept and send messages.
