The outage, which began around 11pm GMT on February 7th, 2025, left users unable to play online, access network-based content, or sign in to their accounts.
The predominant error code encountered by users was WS-116449-5. Throughout the outage, Sony provided limited communication about the issue, leading to growing frustration among the PlayStation community.
