Microsoft Open Technologies has released a new Office 365 Software Development Kit (SDK) for Android. Available under an open source license, the SDK lets mobile development firms create Android apps that can access SharePoint Lists and Files and Exchange Calendar, Contacts and Mail.

In support, Microsoft has also released two sample applications that show how the SDK can be used. It also made available a preview version of an SDK for the Office 365 authentication API.
