VersionOne has released the results of a new survey which questioned 4,048 software developers about agile software development. They found that 83 percent of those surveyed planned to use agile techniques for future projects, an increase from 59 percent the previous year. However, only 2 percent of those polled said that their executives were at all knowledgeable about agile practices.
Those surveyed said the top benefits of agile include the ability to manage changing priorities, increased productivity, improved project visibility, improved team morale and enhanced software quality.
