Microsoft Reveals Azure Hybrid Cloud Computing Requirements

Microsoft has revealed a few more details about the Azure Stack, its forthcoming hybrid cloud computing offering. Enterprises will be able to install the Azure Stack in their own data centers and then connect seamlessly to the Azure public cloud. The Azure Stack will include software-defined infrastructure, the Azure portal, Azure-based IaaS and PaaS services, and the Azure Resource Manager.

In order to run the Azure stack, organizations will need at least one server with 12 cores and 96GB of RAM, but 16 cores and 128GB of RAM is preferable. In addition, they will need Windows Server 2012 R2, Hyper-V Enabled (with SLAT support) and at least 140GB of storage capacity.
