Adds precious metals, increases automation, includes more than 100 enhancements Packing performance improvements, increased automation, new precious metals and natural gas functionality and more flexible reporting options, Aspect announces the latest and most extensive upgrade yet to its AspectCTRM multi-commodity trade and risk management solution. Instantly rolled out in the cloud to existing AspectCTRM standard edition users, version 15.2 of Aspect???s cloud-based solution is the result of more than 700 man days of development effort, changes and enhancements to 10% of the code base, and more than 100 separate improvements. According to Aspect Business Development VP of Metals Justin Howat, ???Precious metals traders in particular will benefit from the new release. Many of their trading processes can now be automated, reducing significantly the time needed to capture trades and prices while at the same time eliminating manual data entry errors.??? Version 15.2 adds for the first time fully-featured precious metals trade and risk functionality for OTC trades including:– Capture of OTC spot and forward trades, lease trades and options– Fixed price and averaging trades (including a contango feature for the latter)– Multiple currencies– Automatic calculation of OTC forward curves based on spot prices and forward rates– Automatic selection of MTM instrument based on precious metal product and location– Valuation of depository accounts– Automatic generation of metals transfer orders There are significant enhancements in natural gas, concentrates and base metals functionality too. Natural gas physical and pipeline trades are now standard together with measurement by BTUs or Dekatherms. Also swaps and physicals can now be priced on holidays and at weekends. Payable metals in concentrates can now be priced against multiple optional quotational periods, optimized for either buyers or sellers. Improved integration with third party accounting solutions ensures uniformity of data across all systems, avoiding the need for time consuming and laborious reconciliations. Core enhancements are automatically available to all users with no deployment or feature fees and include new features unique to Aspect???s solution. These include instantaneous profit and loss (P&L) reporting, highly customizable and flexible reporting using Aspect???s own scripting language and the ability to investigate data in depth, drilling down into how P&L and positions are calculated, thereby easing further analytics or troubleshooting work. The upgrade also includes new features requested by customers, a move to more in-memory processing and improved third-party software interfacing for greater speed, new functionality around creating and emailing bookmarked reports according to schedules, not just at close of book, and the ability to expand and collapse OLAP reports. KEMP Emerging Technology Group demos new SDN Adaptive QoE 14 October 2015: KEMP Technologies has been previewing its new SDN Adaptive QoE ??? Quality of Experience ??? technology at this week???s SDN & OpenFlow?? World Congress event in Dusseldorf. With growing momentum behind SDN (Software Defined Networking), KEMP???s innovative SDN Adaptive QoE allows IT and network managers to provide guaranteed service level agreements (SLAs) and deliver reliable service quality for end users. Enhanced application performance and QoE are strategic drivers for adoption of SDN and network virtualization, aligned to OPEX and CAPEX returns. Integration with the SDN fabric allows application traffic of high importance to be prioritized and optimized end-to-end through the network, so that sensitive services including video, voice and conferencing, will not experience disruptive latency and breakup problems. Unlike traditional static and manually configured approaches to QoS (Quality of Service), KEMP has developed a dynamic solution to the problem, which directly influences QoS policies by providing instructions within the network in real time based on changing conditions and application needs. SDN Adaptive leverages its knowledge of the SDN fabric to optimize flows, enforce QoS policy for published services and guarantees smooth two-way throughput, delivering an overall superior QoE compared to what can be achieved with traditional architectures. ???Having a programmable network without enabling applications to influence what happens really defeats the purpose of SDN,??? says Jason Dover, Director of Product Line Management at KEMP Technologies. ???The primary purpose of the network is to support the applications that are running on it and it is SLAs, availability and user experience that IT departments are often measured against by the lines of business that they service. This step forward in SDN innovation reflects our commitment to helping organizations optimize their infrastructure investments and meet these requirements.??? KEMP takes advantage of its application-centric services that already sit in the data path and communicate directly with the hosted workloads, clients and controllers for load balancing and traffic optimization. Being in the middle of the flow path and having the intelligence to understand what the client is requesting and what the hosted application is providing, along with the ability to leverage SDN telemetry, puts KEMP in the ideal position to deliver unparalleled application service experience. With the release of DeltaXML Merge Version 4.1, the next iteration of DeltaXML???s market leading XML change management solution delivers a number of key changes, providing users with richer functionality and improved usability as a means to further enhance the reviewing and authoring processes. The DeltaXML platform reduces processing time needed for authoring, collaborating and reviewing cycles around publishing XML content. Whereas the DeltaXML Core product is well known for its ability to compare two XML data or document files and represent the changes in a single delta file, DeltaXML Merge takes this a big step forward by removing the restriction of just two files and enabling changes from multiple files to be accurately and clearly represented. DeltaXML Merge has the ability not only to identify change in a variety of XML versions from the original, but also to allow manual or automatic acceptance or rejection of change. First released in February 2015, DeltaXML Merge was designed to replace the previous DeltaXML Sync by providing users with the ability to operate at word granularity, order-less merge and keying support, differences in output representation and output formats and a completely new API. Building on its original successes, DeltaXML Merge Version 4.1 improves functionality and usability in multiple ways: ??? Simplified representation of change within XML content, allowing users to better identify and understand the representation of change within XML content and enabling them to further reduce reviewing process time. ??? Support for DeltaXML???s integration into version control systems such as Mercurial and Git, providing users with the ability to record changes made to documentation and remove the risk of losing data by merging incorrect content. ??? Support for automated merging with version priority settings, allowing user specification of content importance on a version by version basis. Phillip Barratt, Global Development Manager at DeltaXML explains that ???removing the restrictions of comparing and merging two or more XML files represents an ideal use case for DeltaXML Merge users, as it improves the efficiencies of large groups of collaborators allowing them to more easily and quickly produce, review and finalise XML files.??? DeltaXML aims to provide its users with powerful XML change management, providing innovative ways to support its growing client base with managing their reviewing and authoring processes and DeltaXML Merge 4.1 is believed to be the next step in successfully achieving this.
