Firefox 16 Gets New Features for Developers

The latest update for Firefox doesn’t include a lot that’s new for end users, but it does offer some significant new improvements for developers. For starters, Firefox 16 supports more advanced Cascading Style Sheets features and HTML 5 programming interfaces. It also adds mobile development APIs. And the JavaScript garbage collection engine has improved performance.

But perhaps the most significant new development feature in Firefox 16 is the new Developer Toolbar with the Developer Command Line tool. It offers easy access to Firefox’s integrated Web console, JavaScript debugger, and page element inspection tools. It also offers autocompletion and syntactic help.
