Unnamed sources reported to Bloomberg that Intel CEO Paul Otellini told his company’s Taiwanese employees that Microsoft is rushing out Windows 8 before the operating system is fully complete. However, they say Otellini believes that releasing the OS early is a good move and that Microsoft will be able to fix bugs and add improvements to the software over time.
JMP Securities analyst Alex Gauna has also expressed doubts about Windows 8, writing, “We are concerned at the level of bugs and fine tuning that appears necessary to get the beta systems we demoed ready for prime time.”
Microsoft will officially launch Windows 8 on October 26.
