AppMethod Adds C++ Support

AppMethod Adds C++ Support

Embarcadero Technologies Inc. has announced that its AppMethod cross-platform development tool now supports C++. The company is touting the update as an opportunity for Android developers to build native cross-platform apps using a very well-known language. According to an EvansData report, C++ is the most widely used programming language in the world.

“While Android offers the largest addressable market opportunity for app developers, developing C++ Android applications has fallen short on developer productivity,” the company said in a press relase. “The latest release of Appmethod now includes a ‘Free Forever’ subscription plan that C++ developers can use to create Android apps to be published on any public app store (for example, Amazon App Store and Google Play). Appmethod also enables developers to build and publish apps for all other supported device platforms for 30 days, and provides access to Appmethod Enterprise Mobility Services.”

AppMethod is free for 30 days. After that, individual plans cost approximately $25 per month per developer and business plans cost $85 per month.
