LinkedIn has open sourced two Android development tools used by its internal enterprise application development teams. The first is called Shaky, and it aims to simplify bug reporting for employees. LinkedIn developers found that employees weren't using the ticket-based reporting process when they found bugs in the company's mobile apps. Shaky allows users to report bugs by simply shaking their phones. Since it has been adopted, LinkedIn employees have used it to report more than 5,000 bugs to the mobile development team.

The second new tool is called Test Butler, and it helps to facilitate large-scale user interface testing. It solves some issues around Android instability and makes UI testing more reliable.
