The European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), an EU advisory body, this week warned that some of the most innovative areas of technology also represented the greatest security risks.
Specifically, the report warned of the inherent risks of mobility and added that mobile software was not as yet very “mature.” In addition, ENISA said that cloud computing concentrates data, making it a more valuable target for hackers. The report also called out the risks of big data, saying, “Exploitation of big data will affect data privacy. At the same time, exploitation of big data through adversaries might open doors to new type of attack vectors.”
