Google Adds Machine Learning, Security Features to Cloud Computing Platform

At its GCP NEXT 2016 event, Google revealed some new enterprise features for its Cloud Platform. First, it added some new machine learning capabilities, including integration with the open source TensorFlow artificial intelligence engine and new APIs for translating languages, recognizing speech and recognizing images.

In addition, it unveiled a new cloud monitoring and logging utility called StackDriver. It also announced that PagerDuty, an operations performance platform, would integrate with Stack Driver.

Finally, it unveiled a new cloud computing service called Cloud IAM. Currently a beta release, Cloud IAM is a security tool that handles identity and access management for Google cloud services.
