Microsoft Releases Office UI Fabric on GitHub

Microsoft has launched a new set of development tools called Office UI Fabric, which will make it easier to create add-ins for Microsoft Office. Office add-ins are written in HTML and CSS. In keeping Microsoft’s recent embrace of open source, the new development tools are freely available for download from GitHub.

Microsoft is currently testing the next version of Office, dubbed Office 2016. Rumors suggest the company plans to release the productivity suite update on September 22.
