Windows 10 Usage Grows; Windows 7 Still Dominates Enterprises

According to an analysis of the latest figures from Net Market Share, StatCounter Global Stats, and the United States Government’s Digital Analytics Program (DAP), Windows 10 has overtaken Windows 8/8.1 in market share. Currently Windows 10 runs on 13.1 to 16 percent of all PCs. However, that is still far behind Windows 7, which is installed on between 54.8 percent and 57.9 percent of all PCs.

Windows 7 appears to be particularly dominant in the enterprise. Data from IT asset management company Samanage indicates that Windows 7 Professional or Enterprise runs on 61.7 percent of corporate PCs, and Windows 10 isn’t even on the top 10 on that list.
