Application Security Testing: An Integral Part of DevOps

In a push to interest enterprises and developers in its software defined networking (SDN) technology, HP has announced a new SDN software development kit (SDK) and a related app store. The company also announced that its routers and other products will support the OpenFlow SDN protocol.

HP's Kash Shaikh said the company is "essentially removing the barrier to widespread adoption of SDN." He added that the goal of HP's SDN push is to help enterprises see "what will solve their problems, and helping them will be apps that will be developed on those controllers."

HP's SDN SDK and related support will be available in November. The app store will open in early 2014.
