CodeGuru has published a new infographic from Typemock that analyzes the impact of software bugs on the U.S. economy. It claims bugs cost the economy $60 billion per year–the equivalent of $113,333 per minute or $1,888 per second. It adds that it costs just $937 to fix a bug during coding but $7,136 to fix the problem during QA or $14,102 to fix it after release.
Typemock also claims that Agile software development projects are 300 percent more successful than those that use other methodologies. And it says unit testing is twice as effective as integration testing and three times as cost effective as system testing.
