ContainerX Unveils Development Platform

At the DockerCon event, a San Jose, Calif.-based startup called ContainerX launched a developed environment for containers. It is a unified control environment with support for Linux and Windows containers on bare metal, virtual machines and cloud computing services. It promises faster provisioning of resources, and the company’s leadership say ContainerX is a very good fit for organizations embracing DevOps.

“Developers want a centrally managed infrastructure platform for running containers, similar to what VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-v was for VMs, but for the container world. They want to authorize and authenticate to their respective silos for deployment, then use Docker command line to run their containers,” said Kiran Kamity, CEO and co-founder of ContainerX.
